Where your money goes when you rent an Avis car: According to comments by Avis executives on several gay websites, Avis is committed to supporting the homosexual movement. Avis donates to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), an organization which pushes for more homosexual characters in television and movies. Avis also sponsors their annual GLAAD Media Awards presentation, honoring homosexuality in the media. And Avis brags that since 2003 it has directly supported gay film festivals across the country. As the ad describes, Avis has launched a sweepstakes for a "VIP Festival Pass" trip to the 2006 gay film festivals in Miami, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
